Field Waiver and Rules
Before playing, all
players must read and understand the
following field rules, as well as sign and
present the
field waiver.
Please review ALL of the following
rules. If you have any questions, please
contact us!
-
GAMEPLAY
-
Referee Decisions
-
Referee decisions are
final. Do not argue with referees on or off the field.
-
Blind
Shooting/Firing
-
Do not shoot your marker
from behind a bunker without looking towards the target you are
aiming at. In other words, do not stick your marker outside of a
bunker and blast away without being able to see what you are
shooting at.
-
Eliminated Players
-
A player is eliminated if
he/she sustains a hit on any part of the body or equipment.
-
A hit is defined as a
quarter-size or larger paint mark, shell or no shell. Shell
fragments by themselves do not constitute a hit.
-
If a referee observes a
paintball hit a player and break, it is considered a hit regardless
of the size of the mark. Players may not mark by touch or "barrel
tag".
-
Any player who assumes the
posture of an eliminated player, including the use of a BBD, vocally
indicating a hit, raising hands over the head, or moving on the
field along with, and imitating the actions of, other eliminated
players (no dead-man walks).
-
An eliminated player is
required to place their hand on the top of their head and exit to
the "dead-box" at each field. Any player not putting their hand on
top of their head may be considered "as playing on" and may be
subject to a continuation of play penalty if the referee determines
that the player was trying to appear as a live player.
-
All eliminated players
must exit to the dead box taking the shortest route possible which
will not interfere with an active player. They must not interfere
with any active player by blocking or attempting to draw attention
as they exit.
-
Any player communicating,
either verbally or by signal, with a live player will be considered
playing on with an obvious hit.
-
Paint Checks
-
A player may call for a
paint check on himself or another player during a game.
-
If a player calls for a
check on himself, that player is not considered neutral until a
referee touches the player and calls the player neutral.
-
Opposing players may not
advance on, attempt to advance on, or mark the neutral player.
-
If a player is hit on the
body and calls for a paint check, the nearest referee will check the
player as quickly as possible.
-
If it is determined that
the player is marked, and the player continued playing prior to
being checked, that player will be subject to a penalty for playing
on with an obvious hit.
-
Cease Fire
-
A referee will call a
"cease fire" if the game is out of control or a safety issue
requires an immediate stoppage of play.
-
A whistle or horn will signify the
cease fire.
-
Once a cease fire is called,
all play in the area is to halt, all guns must be placed on the
ground, and all players are to remain in their position until play
is resumed.
-
If a player is in the
process of advancing to another bunker when the cease fire is called,
that player will go back to his previous bunker.
-
Flag Carriers
-
A flag carrier cannot
fold, roll or otherwise conceal the flag.
-
The flag is to be carried
in plain view.
-
Unmarked players may pass
the flag to other unmarked players.
-
If a marked player makes a
pass to an unmarked player, that unmarked player is then eliminated.
-
Should a player be marked
while carrying the flag, the player must stand in place holding the
flag for any active player to retrieve until an unmarked player
takes possession of the flag or until a referee takes the flag.
-
If at the referee's
discretion the player holding the flag is in a position to impede
play, the referee may take the flag from the marked flag carrier and
place the flag on a bunker in plain sight and the marked player may
exit to the field's dead box.
-
Boundaries
-
Should a player have any
part of their body or equipment touch the ground outside of the
boundary line during a game, that player is eliminated from play.
-
If a player moves the
boundary line to gain an advantage, that player is eliminated from
play.
-
Dead box
-
Once a player is marked,
they should go to the dead box, place there marker on the ground and
stand in plain site of the field.
-
Players in the dead box
may not talk to players on the field or in the dead box. Any player
in violation of this rule will be considered to be playing on with
an obvious hit.
-
Overshooting
-
No overshooting! Please do not
shoot a player more than once to eliminate him or her. We all want
to have fun, so please keep your marker under control!
-
Booby Traps
-
Do not attempt to alter
the field or bunkers in any way or attempt to construct 'booby
traps' on the field.
-
Physical
Contact
-
Do not make physical
contact of any kind with other players or referees.
-
Climbing
-
Do not attempt to climb on
bunkers, trees or other objects on the playing field.
-
Bunkering
-
Do not run up and shoot
players at less than 20 feet distance.
-
Try to stay at least one
bunker away when engaging an opposing player.
-
Sharing
Bunkers
-
In some cases, it is
possible to share a bunker with an opposing player. For
example, players from opposite teams might be on opposite sides of
the same bunker. In such a situation, the players may both
stay at that bunker but may not shoot at each other around the
bunker! Please talk to the referee about this rule for
details.
-

-

to have fun, so please keep your marker under control!

the opposing team players after a game, whether you won or lost.
